A 2 session parish renewal.

 

Session 1
The history and development of Lenten traditions and liturgies.
Reflection (images and music).

Session 2
The Great Week.
Focusing on how we should celebrate these liturgies,

BREAD BAKING MINISTRY

​

This is a marvellous way of involving the community and understanding the true meaning of bread which is the heart of the Eucharist.

It also needs to be undertaken with great care and understanding.

The story of bread from the days of the Early Christian Church

What the Church Documents say.

Practical issues: recipes and method; who and when, (special occasions or weekly)
baking for numbers, integration into parish celebrations of the Eucharist, rotas.

If there is a kitchen available, we can bake together.

 


 

 

ENVIRONMENT


A visual exploration of the church environment; furniture, art, layout and symbols.
How church layout works for the liturgy of the Word and Eucharist.
What we should see, what is desirable.
The opportunity for each parish to look with fresh eyes at how its building works .
